Bibin" (ببین) is a Persian imperative verb, meaning "to see," "to watch," or "to observe." It is used to request or invite someone to look at something, emphasizing the importance of the act of seeing.
Seeing always precedes thinking, writing, or any type of creation. Photography is one of the most powerful mediums for observing and sharing both the concrete and the abstract. Like other art forms, photography is a realm of imagination, creativity, and rethinking—beyond linguistic, cultural, gender, and geographic boundaries, allowing us to explore and express shared ideas and experiences.
At Bibin Photography Magazine, our primary focus is on showcasing and interpreting fine-art and contemporary photography.
We invite a special guest writer for each issue to share their interpretations of the selected photographs. These readings are an effort to create a connection between photography and other disciplinary and interdisciplinary fields, and to open a window to the understanding and interpretation of photos.
